NEW YORK (WPIX/NEXSTAR) — Despite a recent slowdown in growth, rent costs across the U.S. are well above pre-pandemic levels – so where can you get the most space for your money?An annual analysis from Rentcafe, a nationwide listing service that helps find apartments or houses for renters and buyers, looked at how much square footage you can get, on average, for $1,500 in the 100 largest U.S. cities.The most square footage for $1,500Wichita, Kansas ranks number one when it comes to generous layouts, with 1,463 square feet for $1,500. Georgetown student earns perfect ACT score

GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — A Georgetown high schooler joins the ranks of just 0.25% of students who earned a perfect ACT score.Ian Craig, a junior at Gateway College Preparatory School in Georgetown, achieved the rare feat this school year, according to a school release. The ACT comprises tests in English, math, reading and science, with scores ranked on a scale of 1-36. Round Rock ISD student earns perfect ACT score The ACT is used to help determine a student's collegiate preparations, with many colleges and universities weighing the score as part of a prospective student's application."This is an amazing accomplishment," Donna LeJeune, the head of school at Gateway College Prep, said in a release. Woman charged in South Pearl Street homicide

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Albany Police Department, a 41-year-old Albany woman has been charged in connection to a domestic-related homicide that happened on Friday on South Pearl Street. On Friday, around 4:45 p.m., police responded to South Mall Towers, 101 South Pearl Street for reports of a person with a weapon. VALATIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Chatham softball team captured the Patroon Conference title after routing Maple Hill 9-2. Riley Pint’s long journey to the majors is finally reaching its destination.The Rockies are calling up the right-hander ahead of Sunday’s series finale against Philadelphia, according to major-league sources. Pint, the team’s first-round pick at No. 4 overall in 2016, has a 5.49 ERA over seven seasons in the minors.Pint, drafted out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kansas, was regarded as one of the top prep pitchers in the 2016 draft. Kelly Clarkson has responded to a Rolling Stone report accusing her daytime talk show of being a toxic workplace.Clarkson issued a statement on her Instagram page Saturday.
