LAS VEGAS — UNLV’s Jose Pizano made a game-winning field goal with no time left on the clock to defeat Colorado State, 25-23, Saturday at Allegiant Stadium.Pizano kicked his sixth field goal of the game, a 28-yarder, to end a back-and-forth battle between the teams’ kickers that developed in the game’s final minutes.After Pizano had kicked a field goal with 1:27 to go to give the Rebels a 22-20 lead, CSU’s Jordan Noyes kicked a 55-yarder to give the Rams the lead with 44 seconds left. PALO ALTO — Police are probing the carjacking of a motorhome in Palo Alto, an overnight theft that occurred while the owner was asleep in an adjacent vehicle.The carjacking occurred in the 400 block of Matadero Avenue near El Camino Real, according to information released by the Palo Alto Police Department.“An unknown suspect took a motorhome and struck another vehicle,” police officials stated. “The suspect is at large.”Police received a report of the carjacking around 12:35 a.m. early on Friday, Oct. 20, shortly after the crime occurred.“The investigation revealed that the victim, a man in his 60s, had been asleep in his parked vehicle when he was awakened by the sound of the engine starting on his motorhome, which was parked along the curb line immediately behind him,” Palo Alto police reported.The victim observed a suspect sitting behind the wheel of the motor home and raced over to the driver’s side and jumped up on the step to co...

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico (AP) — Hurricane Norma came ashore near the resorts of Los Cabos at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula on Saturday afternoon, and hours later Hurricane Tammy made landfall on the Caribbean island of Barbuda.Both storms were Category 1 hurricanes when they hit. DENVER (KDVR) -- A local Palestinian-American family in Lone Tree has had to continue to watch and learn as dozens of family members have been killed since the start of the Israel-Hamas war. “I've lost 47 people in Gaza so far," Nadia Hammad, a local Palestinian-American told FOX31 Saturday. Hamas releases US hostages with Denver ties Hammad and her family, along with hundreds of others, met outside the Colorado State Capitol Saturday for a Palestinian protest. “My biggest reason in doing this is to ask for a ceasefire," Hammad said. "It's for these women and these kids, this is not their fault, they are just collateral damage." ELIZABETH, Colo. (KDVR) --- A Colorado family is remembering a beloved skydiver, father, brother and son. Jacob "Jake" Todd, 36, died in a tragic skydiving accident in Texas on Oct. 15 when his parachute malfunctioned. Prayer vigil to honor missing Coloradans in Saguache His father, Dave Todd, said his son was wrapping up for the season at a skydiving event in Texas. “They have a zest for life, they have a zest for adventure and he was one of those people,” Dave said.
